CUSTOMER SERVICE CASE STUDY:
SINGAPORE

MarineNav Ltd. customer solutions

A customer in Singapore, operating close to the equator in the Indian Ocean, used an Oceanus ROV system to perform structural inspections.
On a Thursday afternoon, extreme air temperature readings resulted in an overheating issue to the topside control system, a first for any MarineNav ROV product. Our support staff and the team of on-site engineers formulated a solution by the following Monday.

THE SOLUTION:
• Our software developers re-designed the Oceanus Topside
   Control Systems FCS adjusting the sensor readings to the
   temperature, resulting in the built-in cooling fans engaging
   more frequently.
• We re-designed the Topside Control Case to include additional
   vent fans, and our team fabricated a custom topside control
   system.
• The topside control case, faceplate surrounds were powder
   coated a custom colour, Quiet Gray, a colour proven to deflect
   sun rays with greater efficiency.
• Completed over the weekend, the Topside Control Case was
   ready for delivery on Monday and is successfully engaged in
   missions.

The topside control case is a rugged, self-contained, waterproof case that serves as the operational hub of the Oceanus Pro ROV system.

• Our engineers built the “Oceanus Flight Control” software, a better
   more intuitive way to fly your ROV using a dedicated 10.1 inch resistive
   touch screen.
• The Oceanus Pro topside case powers up and is fully operational in less
   than 60 seconds
• A generous 500 GB Solid State Drive is built into the topside case,
   enabling storage of hours of captured video.
• The topside control case features two displays, a primary 1600 nits
   sunlight-readable, splash-resistant 15-inch monitor displays video
   feed that is viewable in any light condition. The secondary 10.1 inch
   TFT touch active matrix display is dedicated to MarineNav's
   proprietary touch-activated Flight Control Software.
• Standard wireless feature allows for the broadcast of video to multiple
   devices simultaneously via integrated antenna. 
• The Oceanus joystick is a 3-axis hand controller fully integrated to
   function with the topside's Flight Control software providing trouble
   free control of ROV motion.

An all-in-one is easy to use solution to flying your ROV effortlessly. Our software works in conjunction with the Oceanus Joystick hand control.

MarineNav Carbon Fiber Thruster

Powerful thrusters generate top speeds of up to 6 knots delivering superior ROV maneuverability. Lateral axis ROV movement is a standard feature.

• The carbon fiber thruster assembly makes these extremely durable,
   especially in ice-cold water. Unlike typical plastic thrusters on the
   market these can handle drops, dirt, scrapes, and bumps.
• The highly efficient thrusters achieve speeds of up to 6 knots while
   using very little power.
• The props are designed to be easily removed in the field should
   anything become tangled or they require replacement.
• The vectorized thruster design provides unmatched ROV control
   and stability

CAMERA GIMBAL 

MarineNav 1080p Camera Gimble

Our team worked hard to develop an extremely reliable camera gimbal system which provides high-quality video back to our dedicated topside display. The wireless broadcast feature allows the operator to screen share to multiple remote parties. 

• The camera gimbal is outfitted with bumpers on either side to protect
   the lens from scratches or cracks.
• Full +/- 180° tilt control.
• 1080P high definition video provides stunning image captures.

JUNE 2019 - Depth testing for the Oceanus Hybrid and Oceanus Pro class ROV systems respectively.
In a controlled, pressurized environment, independently conducted stress tests simulated operating depths of 100 and 300 meters (328 and 985 ft). In test periods lasting 60 minutes, the Oceanus ROV demonstrated the ability to withstand applied pressures without leaks or apparent damage.

JUNE 2020  - Depth testing of the Oceanus Pro and Pro Plus ROV optional system upgrade to 400 meters.
In a controlled, pressurized environment, independently conducted stress tests simulated operating depths of 100 and 400 meters (328 and 1312 ft). In test periods lasting 60 minutes, the Oceanus ROV demonstrated the ability to withstand applied pressures without leaks or apparent damage.

When purchasing an Oceanus ROV system, our customers are entitled to a comprehensive maintenance service package free of charge. Simply return your ROV to a qualified service centre in the first 25 operational hours to qualify*.

12 MONTH SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT COVERAGE.

MarineNav provides full coverage, for a period of twelve months, of any design or structural enhancements to any component of your ROV purchase. This includes the ROV, topside control case and MarineNav manufactured attachments*.

LIFETIME SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATES

MarineNav will provide ROV system software upgrades free of charge of our proprietary Flight Control Software over the normal operating lifespan of your purchased ROV system*.

All MarineNav ROV systems are protected by a 2-year limited warranty*

Register your MarineNav Oceanus ROV system within the first year of purchase to activate warranty. For warranty to remain valid, all scheduled ROV maintenance must be adhered to according to manufacturer's guidelines. Some restrictions apply;

a) MarineNav Ltd warrants that tether supplied with ROV systems or supplied separately will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of ninety (90) days from date of shipment.

b) MarineNav Ltd warrants that tether whips provided as part of an ROV system at time of original shipment will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of six (6) months from date of shipment.

c) MarineNav Ltd warrants that thruster motors provided as part of an ROV system at time of original shipment will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment. This does not include wearable parts such as propellers, which are considered a consumable item. Tampering, misuse and regular wear are not covered by warranties.

d) MarineNav Ltd warranties exclude corrosion that may occur on ROV metallic parts caused in part by improper cleaning and storage of ROV after each mission. Refer to your owner’s manual for proper cleaning and maintenance of your ROV system.
