The Oceanus Mini is ideal for performing inspections in confined areas like pipelines and holding tanks. The use of lightweight materials and a reduced footprint makes this ROV unit incredibly easy to transport, deploy and operate. Six vectorized thrusters generate a maximum speed of up to 4 knots and provide a wide range of ROV movement including; full depth, horizontal and lateral movement (with auto depth, heading hold, and ROV stabilize control modes).
A smaller size does not mean this ROV is lacking in power or versatility. Designed, engineered and manufactured on-site, this ROV system receives power over tether and is capable of operating to a maximum depth of 305 m (1000 ft.). Core construction of marine-grade aluminum and the same robust engineering standards found in our larger ROV vectorized thruster systems ensures this system will stand-up to the toughest tests. Designed to be compatible with MarineNav Oceanus Pro and Pro Plus ROV systems, the Oceanus Mini ROV is easily connected to a MarineNav Pro topside case using MarineNav tether, with many of the attachments developed for use by the Pro ROVs compatible for use with the Oceanus Mini.
Weighing only 8.62 kg (19 lbs) with power over tether feature, this ROV is compatible with the Oceanus Pro ROV system. Capable of plugging into Pro topside cases, with the ability to accept many accessories available to the Pro, the Mini is popular as a secondary ROV where restricted spaces require a miniaturized underwater vehicle.
While the Mini is smaller in size, it lacks none of the features found in our larger ROVs. Six vectorized thrusters provide incredible power and maneuverability with the Mini capable of sustained lateral movement. A HD 1080P on-board camera system captures stunning full HD 1080P streaming video. A one-touch video record function with overlay feature and two front-facing 1500 lumen lights enables users the ability to capture brilliant video without interruption of piloting the ROV system. + ▲
The topside control case is a rugged, self-contained, waterproof case that serves as the operational hub of the Oceanus Mini ROV system. Weighing 18.05 kg (39.8 lbs) the Oceanus Mini topside case powers up and is fully operational in less than 60 seconds and features a built-in control console with access to AC power connection, tether connection, two USB ports, and one auxillary port (capable of 1 x RS485 / Manip / 15VDC). Built-in safety features include a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) / Circuit Breaker and Isometer.
The topside control case features two displays. A primary sunlight-readable, splash-resistant 15-inch monitor displays video feed that is viewable in any light condition, and a secondary 10.1-inch TFT touch active matrix display is dedicated to MarineNav's proprietary touch-activated Flight Control Software, where all critical ROV readings are accessed, and ROV functions can be controlled by a simple touch command.
A generous 500 GB Solid State Drive is built into the topside case, enabling storage of hours of captured video and built-in HDMI video output offers the convenience of sharing streaming data to an external monitor. The Oceanus Mini's standard wireless feature allows for the broadcast of video to multiple devices simultaneously via integrated antenna. Broadcast to remote web enabled device via a simple to use interface.
The Oceanus Hand Controller features reconfigured button commands that are fully integrated to work with both the Oceanus Mini and Pro ROV Flight Control Software. Selecting hand controller buttons will launch ROV functions normally accessed through the touch-sensitive Flight Control Software, allowing the user to pilot the ROV with minimum distraction.
The Oceanus joystick is a 3-axis controller featuring Hall-effect technologies providing trouble-free control of ROV motion. Directional joystick movements provide forward or rear thruster thrust, lateral left, or lateral right movement. The joystick head controls ROV left and right turn commands. A side-mount dial controls the rate of ROV ascent and descent.
